Feeling Good! Singapore Office Wins Silver for Health Initiative

Cartus’ Singapore office celebrated its third consecutive award win of the year at last Friday night’s Singapore HEALTH Awards when Cartus received a Silver award for Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health. Presented by the Singapore Health Promotion Board, the biennial Singapore HEALTH award gives national recognition to companies with commendable Workplace Health Promotion (WHP) programs.

Having won a Bronze in the last award program two years ago, Cartus attained higher scores this year when compared with 2008, particularly for ‘Program Organization’ and ‘Needs Assessment’ as we offer a wide range of initiatives and policies to enhance our employees’ lifestyles and personal health. Metro Summit Recap: Social Media Tools, the State of the Real Estate Market, and Needs of Renters

I had the pleasure of attending the first-ever Metro Relocation Summit held recently in Princeton, New Jersey. Three regional relocation councils — New Jersey Relocation Council, New York City Organization of Relocation Professionals, and the Delaware Valley Relocation Council — combined forces to hold a joint meeting of corporate and supplier members. More than 300 people registered for the all-day event.

The agenda included a mix of topics related to domestic relocation and international assignment management services. The conference began with Keynote Speaker Peggy Smith, CEO of Worldwide ERC ®. Peggy shared an update on the ERC and offered her strategies for leading Worldwide ERC into the future. She spoke of the influence social media will have on our industry and how she and her management team are incorporating social media tools into their delivery model. (more…)
