Cartus, P&G, and IBM were named winners of the 2012 APAC Customer Relationship of the Year award by the Human Resources Outsourcing Association (HROA) at the annual HROA Awards held at the Shangri-La hotel in Singapore on May 17.
The HROA Awards were developed to recognize and promote the HROA vision of improving the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of outsourcing as part of an overall HR service delivery strategy. The APAC Customer Relationship of the Year award celebrates the partnership between a third-party supplier and a corporation which has demonstrated significant results and contributions to achieve company goals.
Cartus, P&G and IBM together were shortlisted for the award alongside two other strong contenders but emerged as a clear winner, with award judges citing the team’s strong strategic direction setting, team effectiveness, reward and recognition programs, and joint business planning with leading customers as key reasons for winning.
This prestigious industry award recognizes the innovative collaboration between businesses and is a fitting tribute to the dedication and hard work of the P&G Asia HR Services & Solutions (HRSS) team, Cartus, and the P&G account teams across Asia who are delivering something really special as one team.

Divine Gomez, IBM; Rocky Esguerra, P&G; and I
celebrate our collaboration.
Rocky Esguerra, P&G Associate Director of HRSS, who is also a previous winner of the “Thought Leader of the Year – APAC,” accepted the award on behalf of P&G. Rocky described the four-year relationship with Cartus as “exemplary” and stressed the commitment that makes the partnership work.
“This award is a public recognition of the true meaning of one team and one family in the way we operate, as we continue to touch and improve the lives of the P&G employees and retirees that we serve, and it serves as a source of inspiration for other companies and their HR outsourcing partners to emulate.”
Rocky added, “Both sides of the Asia P&G HRSS/Asia Cartus partnership collaboratively work towards the same objectives, doing whatever is possible to touch and improve the lives of P&G transferees and their families. I am personally impressed, not only by Cartus’ knowledge of the industry and best practices, but also its desire to understand our uniqueness as a company, our values and how those drive our policies and how we treat our employees. I especially appreciate Cartus’ can-do attitude and enthusiasm to partner with us to introduce new ideas and programs so that we can better serve our employees and meet their needs. This kind of attitude makes it pleasant and effortless to work with Cartus.”
