Relocating to Panama | On the Ground with Cartus

Panama is a culturally complex country, with a history shaped by centuries of colonialists, invading forces, travelers, and entrepreneurs, all attracted by the action involving one of the world’s most important waterways: the Panama Canal. Because Panama has historically served as a crossroads of trade for the Americas, it has attracted workers and entrepreneurs from around the globe.

As part of the Cartus On the Ground video series, we highlight need-to-know information for your employees who are relocating to Panama, pointing to the unique nuances, challenges, and opportunities of securing an apartment or house, locating schools for children, moving with pets, traveling to and from the country, exploring Panama’s many recreational options, and understanding basic social norms and economic principles.

In addition to the On the Ground series, you can find information about this Central American nation in our Panama MarketWatch and learn about other developing countries on the Cartus Emerging Markets microsite.
