At Cartus, we know that industry events and forums play a key role in that goal – with one example being the events hosted by the U.S. National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC) and led by the group’s vice president, Bill Sheridan, someone whom we have had the pleasure of working closely with over the years.
Upon my return, I found it quite apropos when I learned that [...] Read More

The Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM) has announced the companies and organizations that have been shortlisted for its EMMA Awards, which recognize professional excellence in the global mobility profession. I recently spoke at the U.S. Totally Expat Show in New York City organized by The Forum for Expatriate Management. During the session, I reviewed data from our recent survey on emerging markets—a particularly hot topic for our clients as corporations continue to expand into new territories to help drive their growth.
Our survey’s data revealed that multinational corporations are actively pursuing business opportunities in the countries they consider emerging markets. Called “Mobility Challenges in Emerging Markets,” the report found that more than half (51 percent) of respondents indicated that emerging markets are currently more important than traditional markets, while fewer [...] Read More

I recently had the opportunity to take part in a ceremony honoring one of Cartus’ own, Shelley Northrop, vice president, marketing. Shelley was presented with the Corey Thomas Realogy Communications Award of Excellence. Realogy presents this award to a member of the greater Realogy communications team who exemplifies the excellence, passion, creativity, and commitment that best supports his or her company’s interests.
Joining me at the presentation were Kevin Kelleher, Cartus CEO and president; Amy Meichner, Cartus’ senior vice president of global human resources; Mark Panus, Realogy’s senior vice president for corporate communications; who presented the award, and the Cartus Marketing [...] Read More
