More than 700 relocation professionals gathered in Shanghai last week to attend Worldwide ERC’s Global Workforce Summit. The two-day event highlighted key mobility trends in Asia and covered a variety of current topics on relocation, talent management, immigration, tax and social security compliance, and safety/security.
Instant polling conducted by ERC highlighted three key mobility challenges in the region: controlling costs (39%); complying with emigration and employment regulations (28%); and finding suitable candidates to move (22%). These findings concur with Cartus’ latest Trends in Global Relocation: Biggest Challenges survey, which was featured as a key resource for delegates at the Summit.

Chinese New Year, also known in China as Spring Festival, begins on February 10 and marks the transition from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake. Amongst the 12 symbols of the Chinese zodiac, the snake represents prosperity, gracious morality and great wisdom.
Of all the traditional Chinese festivals celebrated around the world, Chinese New Year is the most elaborate, colorful and important amongst the Chinese community. Cartus employees in Asia will be ushering the Year of the Snake in a range of activities with their family and loved ones.
