Relocating to South Africa | On the Ground with Cartus

The nation of South Africa has been known for many things throughout its history: as a stop-off point on the spice route from Europe to Asia, as a leading producer of diamonds, and for the historic election of Nelson Mandela to its presidency. Now it is a key emerging market for global business and a frequent destination for international businesspeople.

As part of the Cartus On the Ground series, we present a video with need-to-know information for employees relocating to South Africa. Corallie Pringle of Elliott Corporate Relocations discusses the importance of safety, the cost of housing, the differences between international and private schools, and the best way of getting around in the cities. She also provides five tips for assignees who are bound for South Africa.

You can find more information about relocating employees to this country in our South Africa MarketWatch, and you can also learn about other emerging markets by visiting the Cartus Emerging Markets microsite or by contacting me at lisa.reid@cartus.com.
